Scion and 1Bridge Vault partner to strengthen the secure exchange of confidential information

Scion and 1Bridge Vault partner to strengthen the secure exchange of confidential information. Partnership brings together Scion's compliance and intelligence expertise with 1Bridge Vault's encrypted technology, with the solution currently being piloted across users and sectors
September 2026 — Scion has partnered with 1Bridge Vault to explore how organisations and individuals can better protect confidential personal and business information throughout its collection, storage and exchange.
The partnership responds to a common challenge facing regulated organisations, professional advisers and their clients: highly sensitive information routinely needs to move between individuals and organisations as part of onboarding, compliance, due diligence, legal, financial and commercial processes.
Identity documents, financial records, source-of-funds and source-of-wealth evidence, contracts, corporate information and credentials may all need to be shared with third parties. The security challenge therefore extends beyond where information is ultimately stored to include how it is collected, transferred, accessed and controlled.
Scion and 1Bridge Vault are working together to assess how secure technology can provide greater control over this process while remaining practical for both the individual providing information and the organisation receiving it.
Protecting information at the point of handover
1Bridge Vault provides encrypted digital vaults for storing, collecting and sharing sensitive documents, credentials and contracts.
Documents are encrypted within the user's browser before upload, with 1Bridge storing ciphertext rather than readable files. Controlled sharing incorporates recipient verification, expiring and revocable access, access records and recipient-specific watermarking for supported documents.
The technology is designed to complement rather than replace existing KYC, AML, CRM and compliance systems, providing a controlled handover layer for sensitive information and a record of how access was provided and used.
For individuals, business owners and beneficial owners, this provides greater control over information that may need to be disclosed repeatedly to banks, lawyers, accountants, advisers and other professional counterparties.
For organisations receiving that information, it provides a structured route through which sensitive material can be collected and shared, with controls around recipient access and an associated audit record.
James Eastham, Founder and CEO of Scion, said:
“Protecting confidential information isn't simply a technology issue; it is increasingly a question of governance, compliance and trust. Organisations routinely ask clients and counterparties to provide some of their most sensitive personal, financial and business information. The controls surrounding how that information is requested, transferred and accessed should reflect its importance.
Our partnership with 1Bridge Vault brings together Scion's experience in compliance and intelligence with technology designed to provide greater security, control and accountability around the exchange of sensitive information.”
Piloting the technology across users and sectors
Scion and 1Bridge Vault are currently piloting the technology across users and practical use cases within financial services, private wealth, digital assets, professional services, intelligence and government.
The pilot programme will assess both the experience of individuals providing confidential information and the operational requirements of organisations receiving and managing it.
It will also enable the two organisations to identify where secure information exchange can add the greatest value across regulated and high-risk environments and use that evidence to inform the continued development of the proposition.
This approach reflects Scion's broader view of technology: its value comes from addressing identifiable client needs and strengthening existing professional expertise, processes and controls rather than introducing technology for its own sake.
Combining specialist expertise and technology
The partnership forms part of Scion's expanded proposition across Compliance, Intelligence and Performance, and its strategy of working with specialist organisations whose expertise and technology can strengthen the solutions available to clients.
For 1Bridge Vault, the relationship provides an opportunity to pilot its technology across practical use cases informed by Scion's experience of compliance, financial crime, intelligence and regulated environments.
Francesco Vivoli, Founder at 1Bridge Vault, said:
The partnership reflects a shared objective: enabling confidential information to move between individuals and organisations with stronger controls over how it is protected, accessed and accounted for.
By combining specialist expertise, intelligence and technology, Scion aims to help organisations navigate complexity, manage risk and scale with confidence and control.
